Who we are
The app ভোক্তাধিকার ও অভিযোগ (“the app”) is published by Rabbits Hat LLC (“Rabbit’s Hat”, “we”). It is an independent public-service app that helps people in Bangladesh learn their consumer rights and file consumer complaints. It is not a government app and is not affiliated with any government body.
What stays on your device
Your drafts, your submission history and any photos you capture or attach are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded to us and are excluded from device and cloud backup. When you uninstall the app, this data is permanently deleted, and reinstalling the app does not restore it.
What is sent when you submit a complaint
When you choose to submit a complaint, and only after you agree to the consent shown in the app, the complaint details, the contact information you enter and any photos you attach are sent by email to the relevant government office so your complaint can be lodged.
Retention of submitted complaints
A submitted complaint is an official submission to a government office. The submission and related email communication are kept for compliance purposes and cannot be deleted on request. Deleting or uninstalling the app removes the data on your device but cannot withdraw a complaint that has already been submitted.
What we do not do
- No user accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- We never sell or rent your data.
- No analytics that identify you.
Permissions
- Photos / camera: to attach evidence to a complaint, through the Android photo picker.
- Internet: to send your complaint.
The app does not use your location unless you choose to include it in your complaint yourself.
Security
Submitted complaints are sent over encrypted (TLS) connections.
Children
The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
